This year’s Traditional Indigenous Dance Festival is jam-packed with talented Indigenous performers frommusicians and dancers to visual artists and artefact makers. Throughout the weekend there will be talks on bush medicine and bush tucker as well as demonstrations on painting, and making aretfactsand jewellery. Youth Performance Holiday Workshops

Tennant Creek Over the school holidays there are a variety of exciting workshops for youngsters in Tennant Creek. In partnership with Barkly Regional Arts, the mob from the Australian Theatre for Young People (atyp), Beyond Empathy and The Song Room are in town offering skills ranging from dance to drama. The four weeks are jam-packed with a mixture of workshops for dance, music, drama, puppeteering and film/video, youth drama, physical theatre and drumming/percussion.
